Job Scope of Customer Happiness Intern
e-Eritel’s mission is to provide internet connectivity to rural communities across Sarawak; We’ve connected over 1,500 sites and 100,000 people from various sectors: villages, schools, plantations, mining operations, and more. As a Customer Happiness Intern, you will work closely with the sales, technical, and operations team to ensure a seamless internet experience for our users.
You’ll also dabble in tactical projects in order to improve the user experience and consequently our bottom line.
What does a typical day look like?
- You’ll be tasked to monitor & manage our existing sites, resolving customer issues and proposing innovative ways to improve performance for sites. Examples include: executing customer surveys, updating our database and liaising with satellite partners on ad-hoc tasks.
- Special projects {Optional} : Co-create and lead projects in business development, user experience and even digital transformation. We’ll craft out projects according to your interest areas and career plan.
What are we looking for?
If you like a fun, eccentric team on a mission to develop rural Sarawak, you’ve come to the right place. The work is extremely challenging, and heavy brainstorming + creativity will be required at times. Those who are emphatic, have good interpersonal skills and a hunger for learning will fit perfectly in this role.
Being able to communicate in Malay and English is necessary while being able to read and converse in Bahasa Sarawak/Bahasa Iban is a HUGE bonus.

We invest heavily in the team : you’ll be receiving 1 hour a day for personal development, funded by the company. There are 1-2-1 mentoring/catchup sessions biweekly with our head of business.
